Suzi Brown

Musician. Storyteller. Advocate.

Healing has a rhythm. Let’s find it together.

To write a melody that makes sense, you need harmony—different notes working together, not against each other. Riff for Reform builds on that idea: blending music, story, and conversation to show how empathy and understanding create the real harmony our communities need.

Live Concert + Conversation

Riff for Reform: Live Music. Real Stories. Meaningful Change.

Join acclaimed singer-songwriter Suzi Brown for a unique campus experience that blends dynamic live‐looping performance with honest storytelling and facilitated dialogue. With her roots as a gun-violence survivor, former undercover social worker, and behavioral-health professional, Suzi brings an uncommon depth to the stage.

What the program offers:

  • A 60-minute concert + interactive discussion designed for college audiences: live-looped music, full of richness and rhythm, couples with real personal narrative about resilience, reform, and community.

  • A participatory workshop option: “The Neuroscience of Empathy & the Power of Song,” where students explore how music, emotional regulation and behavior‐science intersect.

  • Flexible formats ideal for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Mental Health Awareness, Civic Engagement & Advocacy-themed events.

Why it matters for your campus:

  • Relevance: Students are increasingly seeking meaningful experiences that connect creativity, identity, and social impact. Riff for Reform meets them where they are—on stage and in conversation.

  • Skill-building: Through story + song, the program fosters emotional intelligence, collaborative thinking, and inclusive communication—skills that support academic success, leadership and campus community.

  • Engagement: The live‐looping show grabs attention, and the candid storytelling invites vulnerability and dialogue. It sets the stage for real conversations—beyond the usual “speaker + slideshow” format.

  • Customization: Whether your campus is focusing on women’s history, mental health, human rights, or civic reform—this program can be framed to align with your theme and audience.
